In a world where black men are often depicted as absentee fathers or babyfathers. A world where images are often made solely to break rather than support the black male.
A world where countless black men strive daily to support and nurture their families within a system that often treats them harshly and unfairly.
This painting seeks to readdress that balance by celebrating the countless great and astounding black men who often toil away unrecognised by the world. The men who continuously push to raise, support, nurture and love their families. Men such as my own father, brothers and friends who inspire this series of artworks. This painting is for you.
